Altar Flowers Donation or Dedication

Print Email

Flowers are indeed an enhancement to our worship space. Their significance is evident when we celebrate blessed occasions such as marriages and anniversaries and births. A flower’s beauty and scent comforts us as we mourn and remember loved ones who have died. For centuries, flowers have held a significant role in the house of God. And I believe we can all agree that weekly floral arrangements offer much to our worship settings here at First United Methodist Church.

The Passionate Worship Ministry Team, and the entire worshiping community of FUMC, greatly appreciate those individuals and families who have signed up to provide flowers for our worship services.

How Does It Work?

Individuals or families may sign up for any given week to provide altar flowers. The church’s office staff then contacts those who have signed up when it is their week to provide the flowers. You will be asked if the flowers are donated in honor or memory of someone, or simply given “to the glory of God.”

What Is a “Flower Angel”?

If a person does not have a particular Sunday in mind for purchasing altar flowers, the church always welcomes individuals to become a “Flower Angel.” On Sundays when no one has signed up for flowers, the church office staff will contact an “Angel” to donate that week.

If you would like to be a "Flower Angel", donate flowers on a given Sunday, or have a question, please contact the church office.
